Viorel Moga is an accomplished engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in energy storage and vehicle electrification technologies. He serves as VP, engineering, for Leclanché’s Stationary Business Unit in the company’s North American headquarters facility in Anderson, Ind. Since joining the company in 2016, Moga has been responsible for system design, product requirements definition, product design and analysis, product testing and site verification of energy storage projects worldwide. He is also involved in the execution of grid support and commercial and industrial projects worldwide.
Previously, Moga worked at Delphi (now Borg Warner), for 22 years in a variety of positions including seven years as systems engineering manager, vehicle electrification. During his tenure, he oversaw projects in developing automotive ignition applications, automotive lithium battery controllers and packs, power inverters and converters and on-board chargers for hybrid and electric vehicles. He also earned entry into the Delphi Innovation Hall of Fame. Moga received his Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at IC Bucharest in Romania. He resides in Carmel, Indiana.”
